FIFA World Cup: Hublot's Impressive Football Installation at Harrods

Celebrating the World Cup with Style and Technology

Hublot, the official timekeeper of the FIFA World Cup, collaborated with L'Atelier Five to create a stunning visual merchandising display at Harrods. The installation featured three giant and stylized footballs that allowed shoppers to keep pace with the World Cup games in real-time.

Shoppers entering Harrods were greeted by a captivating installation above their heads. Giant LED footballs in blue, red, and white displayed live updates and the countdown to the FIFA World Cup Opening Game. The multi-faceted LED screens engaged visitors, providing live scores, goals, and even the sound of the referee's whistle echoing through the atrium.

One of the highlights of the installation was an interactive showcase on the first-floor mezzanine. Here, visitors had the opportunity to try their luck against the Hublot Robot Goalkeeper and explore the brand's official watch collection.

The footballs, measuring 1800mm in diameter, featured digital screens on their facets, showcasing the countdown to the World Cup and providing live updates during matches. This emphasized Hublot's position as the official timekeeper of the tournament and allowed visitors to capture every turning point of the games.

The collaboration between Harrods and Hublot aimed to strike a balance between the football campaign and the luxury environment of the department store. The installation seamlessly connected with the Champion's Advice campaign in six windows, creating an engaging pop-up space that captivated visitors.

The installation took place at Harrods, London, United Kingdom, from May 25, 2018, and remained for a month and a half. It was a testament to the shared commitment of Harrods and Hublot to create exclusive and innovative experiences for their clients.

This impressive football installation at Harrods received the Bronze A' Design Award in 2019 for its outstanding interior space, retail, and exhibition design. The award recognized the creativity and resourcefulness of the design, incorporating the best practices in art, science, design, and technology.

Hublot's collaboration with L'Atelier Five brought the excitement of the FIFA World Cup to Harrods in a unique and visually stunning way. The installation showcased the brand's commitment to innovation and its partnership with FIFA, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.
